LEAD PRESS OPERATOR

Lancaster Print House is looking to hire an enthusiastic, self-motivated, press operator for our 14-color automatic press. This position does require experience. LPH prints a lot of higher color count, detailed images so you must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating an automatic press. We use M&R presses but experience on other presses is fine as well.

The work we do is very rewarding to someone who enjoys the screen printing industry. You will be working with both water based and plastisol inks. We print a mix of spot color and simulated process work but more recently we are doing a lot of simulated process printing. Experience with water based inks is preferred but not necessary. We work in a fast paced shop and have a steady amount of work that will keep you busy and you will be supported by an in-training press assistant and a production manager.

Position requirements:
• Experience running an automatic press
• Knowledge of press tools, squeegees, mesh counts, and printing equipment
• Knowledge of fabric types and cure temperatures
• Ability to setup, tear down and register prints without assistance
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail and goal oriented
• Ability to work on your feet all day and work in the heat
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Good communication and co-working skills

We are really just looking for someone who wants to work in a creative environment and wants to push themselves towards getting better everyday at their craft. We can teach you the more complex printing methods if you come from a shop that only does simple spot color work.

Please note this is a full-time position only. M-F 8am-4:30pm with overtime as needed.

If you are interested in this position please e-mail josh@lancasterprinthouse.com with your resume. Pay is based on experience and output.
